Milwaukee police chase, crash; 3 teens arrested, firearms recovered

Three teenagers were taken into custody on Wednesday, Jan. 21 following a police pursuit and crash in Milwaukee. It started around 4 p.m. in the area of 73rd and Mill.

What we know:

According to police, the pursuit began after officers observed a vehicle wanted in connection to a shooting and attempted to make a stop. The driver refused and a vehicle pursuit ensued. 

The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle crashed on Teutonia Avenue, just south of Silver Spring Drive. The occupants of the suspect vehicle ran from the scene. 

The driver, a 17-year-old boy, along with two occupants, a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, were arrested and taken to the hospital for medical clearance.

Multiple firearms were recovered.

The occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash refused medical attention. 

What's next:

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
