Milwaukee police arrest "high-value target" in patrol

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police arrested a "high-value target" during a patrol on the city's northwest side on Tuesday, August 13th. He is 24-year-old Shawn Boyd.

Officers were in the neighborhood shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday -- in response to Police Chief’s Ed Flynn’s detailed response to recent gun violence. The officers who had shared intelligence of the 189 “high-value targets” recognized one of the targets, Boyd, loitering with three other subjects and conducting an illegal drug transaction.  The officers quickly emerged on the subjects, apprehending Boyd.

Boyd has five open felony cases for Armed Robbery, Substantial Battery, 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Adjudged Delinquent Possess Firearm, and Bail-Jumping-Felony, charging him with two additional Bail-Jumping-Felony Charges and Possession of THC.

In addition, another subject on probation for Armed Robbery was arrested for a Probation Violation and Possession of THC.
