"I'm still in shock right now," said Justus Castillo, witness. "I don't even know what to say, especially since it's Father's Day."

Castillo was with his mom, picking up a car nearby.

"The bike was still on fire," he said. "It was making popping sounds. We saw the smoke, and we didn't know it was right there."

The crash brought traffic to a near standstill, with 27th and Forest Home closed for a block in each direction for about three hours.

Castillo said words were hard to come by after witnessing the aftermath of the crash.

"Some parents are going to get a call saying their child passed away," said Castillo. "I can’t even imagine hearing those words, let alone on Father’s Day. You’re supposed to be celebrating with your children."
