MCTS bus, car collide in Milwaukee; 35th and North

A Milwaukee County Transit System bus was struck by a car Monday morning, July 17, near 35th and North in Milwaukee

Milwaukee police said the crash happened around 6 a.m.

According to MCTS, a Route 21 bus was heading eastbound on North Avenue when the car collided with the bus. 

The driver of the car was a 34-year-old Milwaukee woman who had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The bus operator, a 37-year-old Milwaukee woman, was not injured. A 70-year-old Milwaukee man and a 62-year-old Milwaukee man on board the bus were taken to a hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody. Charges will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County Attorney's Office.
