Massage parlor in San Francisco offering "face slapping"

SAN FRANCISCO -- A massage parlor in San Francisco is offering a new kind of beauty service -- and the owners think it will be a hit with customers.

The new Tata Massage Parlor is licensed by the state of California to perform "face slapping!"

What exactly is face slapping?

"It's from ancient Thai wisdom that's been passed down from generation to generation, that they learn from a teacher and it's a secret technique," Mawin Sombuntham of Tata Massage said.

Tata has been "face slapping" for two years.

"Circulation is part of it, but it's I would say optimizing the fat and tissues and muscles that are in the face," Sombuntham said.

Tata and her husband believe "face slapping" will catch on as a non-invasive, chemical-free treatment. It will cost $350 for each session. Half the face is done at a time, and the results should last six months.

"We don't get rid of wrinkles actually, we only lessen the wrinkles," Sombuntham said.

The couple says next, they'll offer "butt punching" which claims to firm and shape the rear.
