Police: 29-year-old man in custody in connection with death of four-year-old girl
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say a 29-year-old man is in custody in connection with the death of a three-year-old girl -- and FOX6 News has learned this investigation spans two counties.
W. Auer and N. Booth Street
Police say the girl was found unresponsive by her mother at a home near the intersection of W. Auer and N. Booth Street.
Officers were called out to the home shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1st.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
The child's grandfather told FOX6 News the three-year-old hadn't been well after suffering from "Shaken Baby Syndrome" as an infant.
Sources tell FOX6 News the 29-year-old man arrested in this case is the boyfriend of the girl's mother.
W. Auer and N. Booth Street
We're told this man was arrested for causing Shaken Baby Syndrome in 2012, leading to complications and conditions that caused the girl's death Sunday morning.
Police say their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Officials with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office tell FOX6 News officials in Racine are handling this case.
Family members of the girl tell FOX6 News they previously lived in Racine when the shaken baby incident occurred back in 2012.
