Jury duty and your employer; What are your rights?



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- If you're at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and a Wisconsin resident who is able to understand the English language -- you're qualified to serve as a juror.

If you're summoned for jury duty, the law says you must serve -- but what are your rights?

The Wisconsin Business Bureau says you do have certain rights when it comes to jury duty -- especially when it comes to your employer.

For example -- your employer cannot discharge or otherwise discipline you because you are selected for jury duty.
