Suspects steal bags full of items from Fresh Image clothing store

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are searching for multiple suspects who ransacked Fresh Image clothing store located at 7201 W. Capitol Drive. The store says they got away with merchandise worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Wednesday, September 30th two workers were inside the store -- a manager by the register and an employee in a back room.

"He just put the gun on me and that was it," said Brian Kim, store manager.

As armed robbers ransacked the store, Kim was forced onto the floor behind the counter.

"He told me, you know, on the ground, so I was on the ground the whole time," said Kim.

A man in a green jacket is the one who Kim says, held him at gunpoint.

The group rushed into the store just after 7 p.m. -- some wearing masks to hide their faces.

"It was seven people total, so they just grabbed all the merchandise," said Kim

When the armed robbers walked into the store, what they likely didn't recognize was the extent of the security system. The clear video shows the robbers carrying garbage bags stuffed with merchandise -- Kim says it was mostly jeans.

As the suspects run out of the store, their bags are overflowing. Each item stolen adds up to a significant loss -- "$20,000 - $30,000" Kim says.

The security cameras capture the suspected vehicle as it takes off. Authorities believe it is a dark-colored, four-door, Mitsubishi Galant.

Milwaukee police also released still images of the suspects -- showing some of the robbers' faces up close.

Police hope the public will recognize them.

"After that incident happening, I'm kind of scared," said Kim.

Kim says Fresh Image has had shoplifters before, but this is their first armed robbery in the eight years they store has been open.
