Is Milwaukee exciting? Exciting enough to be considered one of the Top 10 Most Exciting Cities in the country?!

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Is the city of Milwaukee exciting? Should it be considered, say -- one of the top 10 most exciting cities in the country?

Movoto has put together a list of the 10 most exciting cities -- and Milwaukee has made the list!

Milwaukee comes in at #7 on the list -- with Oakland, California taking top honors, and Portland, Oregon coming in at #10.

The complete list is as follows:

To formulate the list, Movoto had to come up with 10 criteria that make a city exciting.

Each city was then surveyed based on the criteria using various websites. Depending on the criteria, Movoto looked at each on a per person or per square mile basis.

The 10 criteria surveyed are as follows:

Once the criteria was developed, Movoto surveyed the 50 most populous cities across the country.

Milwaukee making the list has Movoto staffers thinking they need to take a trip to the Badger State.

On Movoto's website, in "The Takeaway" section of the analysis of this study, Movoto staffers write:

"When we think of an exciting place to live, we think about places where there is always something to do—whether it’s eating at new restaurants or jogging through a park. This sounds a lot like Oakland, so we really weren’t that surprised. But Milwaukee? It looks like we’ll need to take a trip to the Badger State."
