"I always had a passion for working with wood," said Courtney Kern.

Items at the Art Fair
Aryn and Courtney Kern talk about the Morning Glory Art Fair.
Courtney and Aryn Kern own Longshadow Woodworks. Courtney worked at a sawmill for many years, and he'd always bring back scraps of wood.
The Minnesota couple sells finely handcrafted items using reclaimed wood.
"One day, he made cutting boards, and the rest is history," said Aryn Kern.

Passion and history were found at the Morning Glory Art Fair Sunday. Shoppers had their eyes on bold, bright, beautiful pieces made by artists from across the country.

47th annual Morning Glory Art Fair.
"There are so many ways these pieces become a part of people's lives," said Kim Koch.
Koch has designed jewelry for more than 40 years. He previously received an "Award of Excellence" at the Morning Glory Art Fair.
"When someone chooses a piece of mine, I am so honored," said Koch. "It can be a commitment if it's for a wedding or a celebration of a piece if it's for an anniversary."
People perusing the plaza purchased pieces, paintings and pictures. Artists were grateful.

"It's a humbling experience to put your work in front of people and have them react in a visceral way," said Aryn Kern.
The Morning Glory Art Fair is one of the top art fairs in the Midwest. More than 130 artists participated.
