Franklin voters approve two facilities-related referendums

FRANKLIN -- Two of the three facilities-related referendum questions regarding Franklin Public Schools were approved as a result of the November 6th election.

The two questions that passed were: The Franklin High School academic/expansion and Franklin High School music and auditorium addition.

The district will immediately begin a design phase of the approved projects, which is  expected to last 8-10 months. Officials say site work and other preparation work will begin in the summer of 2013. The proposed additions are expected to finish by summer 2014.

Officials say the remodeling may last up to another year, for a total construction time of two years, with a final completion in late 2015.
