Fond du Lac County Government Center closed off after resident brings in WWII era Bazooka rocket

FOND DU LAC -- The County Government Center in Fond du Lac was closed off Tuesday night, April 12th after a resident brought in what officials believed to be a World War II era Bazooka rocket.

According to WLUK, Fond du Lac police were not sure if there was any explosive element to the weapon, or if it was a training tool.

Officials treated it like it is explosive -- and later determined the round was not live.

WLUK says the resident found the device while cleaning the basement of an older home.

The area has since reopened.
