FBI: Possible Halloween weekend terror attack averted, multiple suspects arrested in Michigan
FBI: Suspected terror plot foiled with Dearborn, Inkster raids
Neighbors who lived near one of the residences swarmed by FBI agents were shocked Friday morning, they said.
(FOX 2) - A possible terrorist attack planned for Halloween weekend was thwarted by authorities, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.
NEW DETAILS (5:50 p.m.): Late Friday afternoon, Amir Makled, an attorney representing one of three people arrested, said his client is an adult who is a natural born citizen.
"There was no mass casualty event planned," he told FOX 2.
It is unclear if the other two suspects arrested at that location are adults or juveniles.
Speculation from sources closed to the families believe that no charges will come from this investigation.

Patel said Friday morning on X that multiple suspects were arrested in Michigan in connection with this plot.
According to Patel, these suspects "were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend."
Federal police were spotted at multiple locations around Metro Detroit. Evidence technicians were seen removing a computer and other items from a home on Horger Street in Dearborn.
While the FBI confirmed they were at multiple locations Friday morning, they would not confirm specific details about where.
Computers and files of papers could be seen being carried from one of the residences by agents as FOX 2 cameras were rolling.
Inkster police later confirmed the FBI was in the city on Friday "conducting law enforcement activities at a storage facility located on Michigan Avenue."
What we don't know:
It is unclear where the suspects were planning the attack. Information being spread on social media references a possible attack at Warren's TACOM, but that is an old story about a suspect who was arrested and charged in the spring.
The FBI in Detroit said agents were present in Dearborn and Inkster early Friday, but could not confirm if this was related to the terror attack plot referenced by Patel.

Dearborn police also confirmed that the FBI conducted an operation in the city. Police said there is no threat to the community.
What's next:
Patel said more details are expected later.
As of Friday morning, there were no plans to hold a press conference from the local FBI branch in Detroit.
Various police departments were spotted at a home at Moross and Middlepoint.
Local perspective:
Agents have been seen going in and out of a home in Dearborn, though officers have not been seen carrying anything from the home.
One neighbor identified as Amed was shaken by the large police force on the scene of the home.
"I'm just hoping we don't have any more big headlines in Dearborn. I was hoping it's nothing related to the mayor, we have enough problems in the city and people coming here, enough attention," he said. "I'm just hoping there's no more national headlines."
Neighbors baffled by FBI presence at Dearborn home
Neighbors were shaken by the surge of police that descended on a home in Dearborn Friday morning. The FBI said a terror attack was foiled in Metro Detroit, but have not confirmed if the averted attack is connected to the home that police visited Friday morning.
What they're saying:
In a statement from the FBI National Office, they released a statement from director Patel.
"Through swift action and close coordination with our local partners, a potential act of terror was stopped before it could unfold. The vigilance of this FBI prevented what could have been a tragic attack — and thanks to their dedication, Michigan will have a safe and happy Halloween."
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel also chimed in during an unrelated press conference on the pause in SNAP benefits.
"We've been in consultation with the FBI in regard to this matter and while I can't speak publicly to the details of it, I can just say I'm very very grateful for the FBI's work in protecting the community and keeping people safe," she said. "I'm sure we'll learn more about the details publicly later."
Governor Gretchen Whitmer also chimed in on social media:
