Designed with the general public in mind: New Milwaukee County Courts website is launched

MILWAUKEE (WITI) – More than a year of development has gone into the redesign of the Milwaukee County Courts website, and now it’s ready for release, with a new address.  MKEcourts.org has a simpler, more streamlined appearance intended to help those without attorneys find the task less daunting.

“We’re happy to have an updated, user-friendly website for jurors, litigants, attorneys, and the general public,” says John Barrett, Milwaukee County Clerk of Circuit Court.  “We hope people will be able to find and navigate the court system with greater ease through this site.”

The new design makes finding legal forms, juror information, court records, e-filing, paying fees and fines, and other court-related activities easier to find and follow through.  MKEcourts.org was designed with the general public in mind, though forms and procedures attorneys need are also ready and handy as well.

“Having an up-to-date, easy to use web presence is important for today’s court system,” said the Hon. Jeffrey Kremers, Chief Judge of District 1.  “I think we have achieved that with this redesign, and hope the public finds it to be user friendly.”

The new MKEcourts.org officially launched Monday, November 3rd.
