Alderman Joe Davis had support, just not enough to advance to general election

MILWAUKEE -- Alderman Joe Davis, candidate for mayor of Milwaukee made his appeal to voters with a catchy slogan, "Vote for Joe is the way to go." His top issues were crime, poverty and poor streets. But Davis did not make the cut for the spring general election.

Davis and his supporters had a relatively low-key watch party on Milwaukee's north side Tuesday evening. The mood was a bit reserved -- as the returns were not promising for Davis.
