Adopted son of Jerry Sandusky wants new last name

(CNN) -- The adopted son of Jerry Sandusky wants a new last name.

The son has filed for a legal name change for himself and his wife and children.

Sandusky, the former Penn State assistant coach was convicted last year of abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period.

Sandusky is currently serving a prison sentence of 30 to 60 years.

When charges against Sandusky first came to light, his son denied ever being abused by his adoptive father.

Later, during jury deliberations in Sandusky's trial, the son admitted to police that he had also been abused.
