3 suspects arrested after jumping from stolen vehicle; one recently released from GPS monitoring

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say three armed robbery suspects were arrested after a pursuit on Wednesday night, October 28th -- and police say one of those suspects is connected to six robberies occurring within a three-day period.

Police say officers located a vehicle taken in an armed robbery in the area of 25th and Center.

A traffic stop was attempted, but the vehicle's driver refused to pull over and fled from police.

"This young woman has been apprehended three times for stealing cars and she`s released.  What does she do?  She goes out and steals another car. We have to get the message across to all parts of the system that if you are a repeat automobile theft, you`re going to be paying the consequences," Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said.

Some say armed robberies, carjackings and stolen vehicles have become all-too-common crimes.

"It happens daily. Ain't too many more around here left to steal. Every day you see the little boys out here and the little girls in stolen vans. We have to punish our kids.  If we don`t discipline our kids, the streets will," Valerie 'Mama V' said.
