13 Wisconsin Assembly members not running again

MADISON (AP) — Thirteen incumbents in the Wisconsin state Assembly are not running for re-election in November.

That includes former Republican Majority Leader Bill Kramer, who submitted paperwork Monday stating he was not running. And on Friday Republican Rep. Mike Endsley of Sheboygan announced he was leaving at the end of the year.

Eight Republicans and five Democrats are not running. Four of the Democrats and two Republicans who are not returning are instead running for other office.

The Assembly is controlled by Republicans who hold a 60-39 majority.

Kramer was ousted as majority leader earlier this month amid allegations that he sexually harassed two women.
