Car vs. motorized wheelchair crash in West Allis

One person was transported to the hospital Wednesday, Oct. 7 following a crash involving a vehicle and a motorized wheelchair in West Allis.

It happened near 68th and Greenfield around 10:25 a.m.

According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle exiting the Towne Center onto W. Greenfield Avenue struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway in a motorized wheelchair.

The victim is a 69-year-old man from West Allis. He was transported to a local hospital and is listed in serious condition.

The driver is a 71-year-old man from West Allis. He remained on the scene and is cooperating.

The crash remains under investigation.
