For the first time ever, our broccoli has a bacterial infection called black rot. As long as the plants keep producing side shoots we can harvest them. Sooner or later, however, the plants will probably die. What causes it and what can be done about it?
The potatoes in the straw bales are growing what look like tomatoes! Really? Do we have some rare hybrid? Are they edible? We will check to see if the spuds themselves are actually growing in the straw, too.
