Man from San Diego, with family in Greendale, dies after medical emergency on flight to Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office say a 36-year-old San Diego man died after suffering a medical emergency while on board a flight to Milwaukee.It happened early Monday morning, May 9th.Sheriff's officials were notified by General Mitchell International Airport officials of a medical emergency on board a flight to Milwaukee from Phoenix around 12:45 a.m.The flight crew reported an unresponsive passenger, unconscious and not breathing.Milwaukee County Airport Fire Department emergency personnel removed the man from the plane and continued resuscitation measures.Brendan Smith of San Diego was pronounced dead around 1:30 a.m. Smith's family in Greendale was notified.An investigation is underway.

MILWAUKEE -- Some Milwaukee taxi drivers protested on Monday morning, April 11th at General Mitchell International Airport.These drivers said the playing field isn't fair when it comes to drivers of ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft.The taxi cab drivers said they're upset that Uber and Lyft drivers aren't regulated and licensed like cab drivers are -- allowing them to offer rides at half the price."They stealing from us, and they selling to people for half price and people have been happy with this because it's cheap," Alexander Friedman said.The cab drivers are also upset that Uber and Lyft drivers can use just about any vehicle, while cab drivers have to go through continuous inspections on their cabs under city rules.
