MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- After an absolutely gorgeous weekend -- with warm temperatures and sunny skies -- Memorial Day on Monday, May 26th brings a chance for showers and thunderstorms.FOX6 Meteorologist Justin Zollitsch says Monday morning should be mainly dry -- but there is a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms.The threat for storms increases as we head into the afternoon hours on Monday.Zollitsch says high pressure is settled to our southwest -- and low pressure will settle to the northeast.Wisconsin is stuck in the middle -- and southwesterly winds will bring with them warm air.With dewpoints in the 60s -- we could see some humidity on Monday.The warm and humid air is expected to fire up some showers and thunderstorms.Zollitsch says you MAY need an umbrella for Milwaukee's Memorial Day Parade -- set for 2:00 p.m.Zollitsch says those that have outdoor plans scheduled for Monday afternoon and/or evening should have a Plan B -- or be sure to bring an umbrella -- as showers and storms are expected to continue through Tuesday.Zollitsch says the potential for severe weather should be pretty low -- but we could see locally heavy rainfall with some of the slower-moving storms.These slower moving, soaker storms could also bring with them the potential for flooding.We'll see limited chances for rain on Wednesday -- and then the remainder of the week looks to be dry.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- On Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th at Wood National Cemetery -- was a powerful tribute from veterans still with us -- in honor of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.Wood National Cemetery on West National Avenue played host to the annual Milwaukee Veterans Affairs Memorial Day ceremony.Memorial Day is a day meant for remembering the servicemen and servicewomen who have died while serving the country.It is a day meant for reverence, reflection, and a heartfelt "thank you" to our veterans.It is a federal holiday that inspires those who haven't served -- and conjures vivid memories for those who have."The buddies that I lost in Vietnam, that were killed next to me -- I`ll always think about them every year, all the time," Vietnam veteran Fred Masarik said.Masarik was in awe at the respect he was shown during the ceremony at Wood National Cemetery on Monday.
