GREEN BAY -- You could say that the Green Bay Packers had the Washington Redskins "number" in their home opener on Sunday. The 38-20 victory for the 1-1 Pack featured a franchise record-tying 480 yards passing performance from Aaron Rodgers, and a career-best 132 yard rushing day from James Starks. Number 44, who was on the bubble to make the roster during training camp, entered the game after Eddie Lacy suffered a concussion on his first carry, following a 10 yard gain. Starks, who scored a touchdown, became the first Packers running back in 45 games to crack the century mark.
Starks and Rodgers combined to give the Packers their first 400 yard passer and one hundred yard runner in the same game.
James Jones, shutout in San Francisco, caught 11 passes for 178 yards-both career highs.
Randall Cobb (career-high 128 yards) caught one of Rodgers 4 touchdown passes; Jordy Nelson grabbed 2; Jermichael Finley snared another.
