BMO Harris name added to Bradley Center floor

MILWAUKEE -- Crews were hard at work Thursday, August 16th inside the newly-named BMO Harris Bradley Center adding the BMO Harris name to the floor.

Tim Schmidt has maintained the Bradley Center's floor for over a decade. Thursday, BMO Harris had its name added to the floor.

"BMO Harris Bradley Center, instead of just Bradley Center. It's part of the whole 'Milwaukee' thing, and it's part of the Bucks. It was a huge honor to just even work on it and be part of it, and the same with the floor. It's very exciting," Schmidt said.

For the past week and a half, a crew of six to 10 has been hard at work on the over 200 sections of flooring -- including a complete sand down, sealing, custom staining, painting and refinishing. They plan to finish by the end of this week.

"This is both the building and the team's identity -- not only here in Milwaukee, but across the glob and the Bucks' brand, their identity, their logo and the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Getting that message out, letting people know where their home court and their home building is, is an important part of it," Schmidt said.
