SAO PAOLO, Brazil -- Wisconsin packaging products company Bemis Co. Inc. said Tuesday, December 1st that it has purchased the rigid plastic packaging operations of Brazilian manufacturer Emplal Participacoes SA for an undisclosed price.
Emplal makes plastic packaging for candies and the food and beverage industries.
Bemis already has packaging facilities in Sao Paolo.
The company employs 17,000 worldwide with net sales of $4.3 billion last year.
