MADISON (AP) -- Hard-core history buffs will get a chance to experience a 19th-century morning at Old World Wisconsin later this month.
The historical museum is offering visitors a chance to prepare an authentic German-American sunrise breakfast, feed farm animals and tend to gardens. Everyone will have to pitch in to clear the table and wash the dishes.
The event, entitled "Rousing with the Roosters,'' is set to begin bright and early at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25. Another identical breakfast event is slated for Sept. 15.
Tickets are $45 and include the breakfast, museum admission and an all-day tram pass. Reservations close at noon on Aug. 24.
Old World Wisconsin features dozens of historic buildings relocated from around the state. The site is located outside Eagle.
