Winter parking restrictions in place in Burlington/Kenosha

BURLINGTON (WITI) -- More snow is falling in southeastern Wisconsin this weekend -- and the Burlington Police Department is notifying residents that winter restricted parking regulations are in place.

That means that parking is prohibited on City of Burlington streets between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

This aids in plowing and snow removal efforts and remains in force for 48 hours.

The City of Kenosha's Street Division has announced winter parking restrictions are in effect there as well, as at least two inches of snow fell in the city on Saturday.

In Kenosha, parking is prohibited on posted snow routes in the city until further notice.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather ADVISORY for Racine, Kenosha and Walworth Counties to be in effect from 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1st through midnight Sunday.

FOX6 Meteorologist Justin Zollitsch says the snow should taper off overnight Saturday.

We could see around 1" near Fond du Lac and Sheboygan, 2-3" for Milwaukee and Waukesha, and 3" closer to the state line.
