West Allis police chase, man accused chased through woods: video
WEST ALLIS, Wis. - A Greenfield man is accused of leading West Allis police on a chase in late October.
Court records show 33-year-old Logan Sprewell is charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor. He pleaded not guilty and was bound over for trial on Wednesday.

The Backstory
On Oct. 26, a West Allis police officer tried to pull over a white Infiniti near 88th and National. Court filings said the car had heavy window tint and no front license plate.
The Infiniti stopped for a brief moment but then accelerated onto 84th Street, sparking a pursuit. According to a criminal complaint, the car reached speeds of roughly 100 mph.

Prosecutors said the car eventually reached a dead-end where it left the roadway and drove into an embankment approximately eight feet below the ground. The pursuit covered approximately 5.3 miles.
The vehicle became disabled and the driver's door opened. Court filings said the officer observed the driver, later identified as Sprewell, leap out of the ravine – running from the car and into a heavily wooded area.

Prosecutors said the officer ran after Sprewell for roughly half a mile until he fell over. Sprewell was then taken into custody, and court filings said he had cocaine on him.
Per the complaint, Sprewell had a revoked driving status and a valid felony warrant. He was also previously convicted of possession with intent to deliver designer drugs in 2021.

What's Next
Sprewell is charged with fleeing/eluding an officer, second-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of cocaine and obstructing an officer.
A preliminary hearing was held on Wednesday, Dec. 11. If convicted, Sprewell is facing more than 20 years in prison and $55,000 in fines.
Sprewell is due back in court in February.
