Wauwatosa Fire officials on scene of separate incidents involving trees on homes during storm

WAUWATOSA -- Officials with the Wauwatosa Fire Department on Monday, December 28th were called out for two large trees that came down on homes -- in separate incidents.

The first incident happened on Church Street near Hillcrest Drive around 7:30 a.m.

The second incident happened on N. 110th Place just before 3:00 p.m.

We're told both of the trees that fell led to structural damage to these homes -- but no one was hurt.

No one had to be displaced from either home as a result of these incidents.

City crews hauled the tree away from the home on Church Street, and a tree removal company handled the tree at N. 110th Place.

These incidents happened during a Winter Storm Warning, which remains in effect until 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The winter storm was expected to drop snow, sleet and freezing rain in southeastern Wisconsin -- and high winds were expected as well.
