U.S. Coast Guard searches for possible drowning victims

SHEBOYGAN -- Rescue operations are underway as the U.S, Coast Guard attempts to save two people swept off a break wall in Sheboygan just east of downtown. The U.S. Coast Guard says three people were initially knocked into the water by high waves. One of them, a woman was able to cling to a ladder on the break wall.

We're told several dive teams involved in the search for the two men knocked off the break wall. Dive teams and crews assembled at Deland Park near the boat dock to launch their rescue efforts.

The U.S. Coast Guard rescued two people who were swept off the break wall just an hour before the missing people were swept off of the break wall. There is a gal warning effect in the area around the break wall.

Area police have been asked to secure the break wall by the U.S. Coast Guard.
