MILWAUKEE (WITI)--The Mitchell Park Domes are bringing model trains and the big top to life.
Under the glass, among the trees and flowers, model trains are chugging along the tracks.
"We heard this was a great place for kids that love trains and our son really loves them," Milwaukee mom Elizabeth Heinke said.
She brought her 4-year-old son Michael to see the model trains in action.
"It`s really cool," he said with a big grin on his face.
It is an adventure for the 4-year-old. He is fascinated by all of the trains. Of course, he has his favorites.
"Thomas trains, " he said. "I watch the show and I have Thomas trains."
You don't have to be a child to enjoy the show.
"When people come in here, they aren`t quite ready for what they see," train show volunteer Bob Dufresne said.
The trains race through a circus-themed track, passing by animals, carousels and clowns.
"It`s always great to see your kid get excited about anything," Elizabeth Heinke said. "He`s so excited watching them build them, asking them questions and it`s really a nice adventure for him."
An adventure that is happening every day at the Mitchell Park Domes. The event continues through March 10th.
