Mille's is the oldest privately owned permanent vendor stand at the Wisconsin State Fair. The stand was built back in the 1970s!
"It`d be really weird to have an August come around and not be out here at the State Fair," Mark Mille said.
The stand is owned and operated by four siblings. One thing that attracts new customers is the vertical grill.
"Our father used to always emphasize the importance of having the flash, and it really does work. The visual appeal is remarkable," Amatore Mille said.
Sausage from Mille's is a long-standing tradition that has people from across the country coming to the State Fair to enjoy it.
"I flew in from Washington, D.C. to the Wisconsin State Fair to get this Italian sausage, right here. It's a tradition," one fairgoer said.
Today, Mille's has two stands at the fair. They plan to keep the tradition going by passing the business on to Mille's children and grandchildren that currently work at the restaurant.
