Final day of H-D 110th Anniversary celebration wraps up
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary celebration comes to a close Saturday night, August 31st, but riders at the Summerfest grounds are taking in every last bit of fun before the clock strikes midnight.
Kid Rock closes out the night at Marcus Amphitheater while other bands rock stages around the park. Bikers say the 110th was an event to remember.
"I have to tell you, this event has gotten me on the bike to ride a lot with my husband," said Madelyn Olson of Appleton. "It was a nice test because I was thinking about whether I should take the three-day course."
Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts have enjoyed the 110th Anniversary and say part of what makes the event so special is meeting fellow Harley lovers from around the world.
"The people from all over are awesome. They are so sweet. Everybody's just speaking to us and we're having a good time," said Chanel Oglesby.
When all is said and done riders will go their separate ways, only to be reunited five years from now at the 115th Anniversary celebration.
"All good things come to an end," said Olson. "You get tired after a while. There are long days. You get up early and you're here -- don't go to bed until midnight. There's always next time."
