A Racine County man could spend the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced for child pornography and sexual assault of a child.

What we know:

67-year-old Keramat Mansoorabadi was sentenced to 49 years in prison and 39 years of extended supervision. He was convicted in November 2024 on multiple felony counts.

He was initially taken into custody for the following offenses:

  • Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child
  • Incest with Child
  • Child Sexual Exploitation – Videos, Records, etc.
  • Child Sexual Exploitation – Videos, Records, etc.

There were 37 counts of possession of child pornography. Ultimately, the jury found Mansoorabadi guilty beyond reasonable doubt on every count.

The backstory

Timeline:

According to officials, on Feb. 1 the Racine County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation’s Bureau initiated an investigation into a complaint of child sexual assault.  An interview of the child was conducted, and Keramat Mansoorabadi was taken into custody.  

Investigators conducted a search warrant at Mansoorabdi’s residence, and evidence substantiating the child’s allegations was seized.

A Racine County man has been arrested for possession of child pornography.

One of those items collected was a cell phone which was taken to the Department of Criminal Investigations for a forensic examination. While awaiting the return of the examination, Mansoorabadi was released from jail after posting a $100,000 bond.

Once the forensic examination was completed, investigators reviewed the cell phone extraction, and they discovered Mansoorabadi was in possession of more than 30 images of child pornography.  

In November 2023, investigators arrested Mansoorabadi on additonal charges of possession of child pornography. His bail had been set at $1,850,000.
