Racine boy dragged after his clothing got caught on car

RACINE -- A seven-year-old Racine boy suffered a serious leg injury Thursday morning after being dragged by his parents' car outside St. Lucy's School.

The father of the child was dropping him off at school. After letting his two children out of the car, he began to drive away. The clothing of his seven-year-old son was caught on the vehicle. The boy was dragged.

Witnesses caught the attention of the father who stopped his car on Carpenter Ave.

The Racine Fire Department responded and took the boy to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saint Emergency Room.

The boy's injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
