VATICAN CITY (WITI) -- Pope Francis has a "Mini Me."
19-month-old Daniele de Sanctis is now a star of Carnival. The toddler showed off his papal look, a white cassock and cape, white skullcap, and even a miniature pectoral cross made by his grandmother.
The child was seen wandering through the closed-off sections of St. Peter's Square in his papal outfit. He wailed while being hoisted up to Pope Francis to receive a papal kiss.
Carnival, also known as Mardi Gras, marks the period before the church's solemn Lenten season begins.
