KENOSHA -- The Kenosha Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Tuesday night, November 10th. It happened at St. James Manor -- an assisted living facility.
Police were called to the area of 59th Street and Sheridan Road around 7:25 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.
While attempting to stabilize the scene, officers encountered the suspect. He complied with officers’ orders to show his hands and to get on the ground, and was then secured in handcuffs.
Inside the home, officers located a 56-year old man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso and a 47-year old woman suffering from several stab wounds as well. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where the man died from his injuries. The female was treated and released.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the stabbing occurred when the suspect and the woman were involved in a physical altercation, and the male victim attempted to intervene.
The suspect was transported to the Kenosha County Jail where he is being held on a charge of first degree intentional homicide. The case remains under investigation.
