MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a stabbing that happened Wednesday night, Jan. 9 near North and Newhall.
According to police, around 8 p.m., a 37-year-old man was found suffering from several stab wounds.

Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department said victim was stabbed in the head and taken to Froedtert Hospital.
The circumstances leading up to the stabbing remained under investigation.
Police said the victim was expected to survive. A search was underway for a suspect.
