Pleasant Prairie police chase; K-9 Chase secures 1 of 2 suspects

Pleasant Prairie police arrested two men from North Chicago earlier this week following a police chase that ended with a K-9 securing one of the men.

What we know:

Officials say a vehicle first fled from officers, and they ended up terminating that pursuit, according to a post on the Pleasant Prairie Police Department Facebook page

A few hours later, the car showed up in Pleasant Prairie – and officers chased again.

After a few minutes of pursuing, the car being chased crashed into a parked car. The driver decided to continue fleeing on foot, but K-9 Chase was hot on his trail. As the man hopped a fence and fell, K-9 Chase pushe5d the gate open, bit the suspect and held him.

Desmond Balenitinse and Lawrence Crittendon-Quinn

In the end, the two men were arrested on multiple charges and warrants out of Illinois. The driver, 24-year-old Desmond Balenitinse and passenger, 26-year-old Lawrence Crittendon-Quinn, are due back in court on Thursday.
