Mount Pleasant police investigate shooting incident

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- Mount Pleasant police are searching for a suspect(s) following a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday night, December 4th in the 2200 block of Mead Street.

According to officials, they responded to the scene around 11:47 p.m. for a report of a male subject who had suffered a single gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officials located the victim, and determined he sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'6" tall with short hair.

The suspect’s gun was described as a silver semi-automatic pistol. Police believe the suspect was with at least one other person. They left the area southbound in a grey/silver Pontiac 4-door vehicle.
