MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a stabbing homicide on Sunday, Feb. 2.

The Milwaukee Police Department said the West Allis Police Department requested them to do a welfare check at 31st and State.

The West Allis Police Department was told by an adult male at 61st and Grant that there would be a victim at the Milwaukee location. When MPD arrived, they found an adult male victim, 74, stabbed.
MPD confirmed the incident is being investigated as a homicide and that it was connected to the incident at 61st and Grant.

A 37-year-old man is in custody. Charges are pending a review by the Milwaukee District Attorney's Office.

Police confirmed the stabbing victim was the suspect's landlord.

What they're saying:
A neighbor told FOX6 News she heard screaming Saturday evening. She said police showed up to her home early Sunday morning to conduct a welfare check on her landlord.
