Milwaukee Harley-Davidson getting ready for 110th
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Harley-Davidson's 110th anniversary celebration is coming up on Labor Day weekend, and Milwaukee Harley-Davidson is moving out all of the bikes from its showroom floor to make room for the tens of thousands of guests it is expecting for the big celebration.
In less than three weeks, Milwaukee Harley-Davidson will unveil its new outdoor pavilion.
"Right now, the property looks like a mess. We have music already booked and if I don't have this done in time I don't actually know where I'd put everybody," owner Chaz Hastings said.
Tuesday, August 6th was about pouring the rest of the floor, and installing the first sections of roof.
"Literally the guys were here on Sunday and I've been told they'll show up whenever they have to show up to make sure this is done," Hastings said.
Inside the store, crews are moving bikes off the showroom floor.
"As a matter of fact, all of our motorcycles will come out of the dealership and the whole middle section of the dealership will be nothing but T-shirts," Hastings said.
Limited edition Harley-Davidson 110th T-shirts that is! And also, just enough of the dealership's year-round merchandise, including helmets, leather jackets and sunglasses.
"Just enough product to get through the event. We don't want too much leftover at the end, but we want to make sure we have enough to get it into the hands of customers who want it," Hastings said.
