Milwaukee woman killed near 38th and Thurston, domestic shooting

A Milwaukee woman, 51, was killed in a shooting early Sunday near 38th and Thurston. One person was arrested and is expected to face charges.

MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee woman, 51, was killed in a shooting Sunday, July 31 near 38th and Thurston.

Police said shots were fired around 4:30 a.m. in a domestic incident.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Desiree Harris.

Police said one person was taken into custody. Criminal Charges will be referred to The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
