"Gilroy Garlic Fries," priced at around $2.50, are served in an open paper tray and feature garlic grown in Gilroy, California -- which is best known as "The Garlic Capital of the World."
In a news release obtained by TIME, McDonald's said:
If the regional menu trial is successful, the item could expand to over more restaurants in California later this year.
