Pennies being left around 10 major cities as part of a promotion by Ally Financial could be worth $1,000.
People in Austin, Texas, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Diego and Washington, D.C. can try to find one of the 100 "lucky" pennies.
The coins are slightly larger than regular pennies. There is an Ally Financial logo on one side and "100,000 cents" on the other.
Clues to penny locations will be shared on Ally's social media channels during the campaign.
