WAUKESHA CO. (WITI) -- Officials in the Village of Summit recovered the body of a 45-year-old man after conducting a water rescue Friday, July 18th at a private residence.

The Summit Police Department and the Dousman Fire Department responded to call around 3:30 p.m., to conduct a water rescue in a pond at a private property, located west of the intersection of Golden Lake Road and Delafield Road.

Police say the body was recovered by a dive team a little after 3:30 p.m., the man’s body was found floating in the pond. Officials are unsure what specifically caused the man’s death, and did not say whether or not the death is suspicious, or if foul play is involved.

An overturned rowboat was also found in the pond.

The man who was recovered from the water was also the property owner of where the pond was located.

The Waukesha County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the man’s death, and the entire incident is under investigation by the Village of Summit Police Department.
