Kenosha drug bust; marijuana, mushrooms found in home

KENOSHA, Wis. - A 26-year-old Kenosha man has been arrested on multiple drug charges.

What we know:
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office said Caleb Novine was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Its Metro Drug Unit and the Kenosha Drug Operation Group executed a search warrant near 94th and 38th in Kenosha for Novine.

During the search of the residence, agents arrested Novine and located 70.36 pounds of THC – or marijuana – with an estimated street value of over $100,000, as well as $3,953 in U.S. currency.

Novine is in jail for the following offenses:
- Manufacture/Deliver Psilocybin (<=100g) – three counts
- Manufacture/Deliver THC (<=200g) – two counts
- Maintain Drug Trafficking Place – five counts

Novine is being held on a $125,000 bail at the Racine County Jail.
What's next:
The sheriff’s office said charging recommendations were forwarded to the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office for criminal prosecution.
