MILWAUKEE -- A registered sex offender accused in a new sexual assault remains at large. As police continue to search for Theron Brown, one of his alleged victims is sharing her story.

"I was so hurt -- and I`m still hurting," the woman said.

The victim, who FOX6 News is not identifying, said she had to share her story after seeing Brown's picture on the news.

"I was tired of hiding it," the woman said.

39-year-old Theron Brown is accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. He has been charged, but he is not in custody. A search for Brown has been ongoing for the past week near 22nd and Locust.

According to a criminal complaint, following the assault, Brown drove the girl home and "offered her money to keep quiet."

The girl told her mother, who reported it to police.

"It just brings back memories of what he did to me," the victim said.

Court records show Brown is a registered sex offender. He was convicted of sexually assaulting a child in 1999. He was accused of doing the same thing one year later, in 2000, but the charges were dropped. In 2009, he spent a couple months behind bars for failing to update his information for the Sex Offender Registry.

The victim FOX6 News spoke with recounted the nightmare that happened when she was just five years old. She says Brown molested her when he lived in the same home as her family.

The sexual assault was never reported to police.

"I just want everyone to know that he`s sick," the victim said. "I want to get closure. I want him to be locked up for what he did to me and to everybody else."

This victim said hearing of the most recent case brought back terrible memories of everything she went through, and she wished to remind the latest young victim that she is not alone.

"I would tell her to be brave and don`t ever give up," the victim said.
