(CNN) -- A gas explosion Tuesday at Nyack College in Rockland County, New York, injured seven people, a county official said.
The seven were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Gordon Wren, the county's director of fire and emergency services.
The blast caused a small fire in a building, but the fire was extinguished by the building's sprinkler system, Wren said.
