BATTLEGROUND, Wash. (WITI) -- A Washington state native is trying to go airborne by attaching three helium balloons to a lawn chair. He hopes to set a world record.

Joe Barbera, the man attempting this feat, already had a successful test flight on Sunday, June 9th. On Friday, June 21st, Barbera will take to the air again. This time, however, he aims to set a world record by floating 11,000 feet above the ground.

As part of this stunt, Barbera wants to spend the entire day floating -- from sunrise to sunset.
